EVIDENCE

Sourcing policy

Financial explanations should be traceable to authoritative evidence that readers can inspect from the article itself.

Preferred sources

We prefer central banks, regulators, official statistics, statutes, standards, and primary research. Secondary sources may provide context but do not substitute for an available primary authority.

Visible citations

Substantive factual claims in published concept and calculator content require validated citations. Each article lists the sources it actually uses and links citations back to their reference entries.

Time-sensitive claims

Statistics, rates, thresholds, regulations, and other time-dependent claims require an explicit as-of date. This policy explains selection standards; it never substitutes for an article's own citations.
