Corrections policy
We correct material factual, numerical, and safety errors transparently and preserve a visible explanation on the republished article.
What counts as material
A material correction changes a fact, calculation, conclusion, or limitation in a way that could alter a reader's understanding. Typography and formatting fixes do not normally require a correction note.
How corrections appear
The corrected article displays the correction date and a localized summary, updates its modified date, and goes through review again. Materially wrong numerical examples are never replaced silently.
Translations and urgent issues
A material correction is applied to every affected published translation in the same change. If that is not immediately possible, the affected translation is withdrawn from public visibility until it is reviewed.
